Clinical Educator in Professional Development
Zeenat qualified as a pharmacist in 2015 after completing her pre-registration training within community pharmacy. Upon qualification, she started working as a locum community pharmacist in both multiple and independent pharmacies across a large geographical location. Shortly after, she accepted a role as a Clinical Pharmacist at a General Practice. Her role as a Clinical Pharmacy in Primary Care progressed from tasks such as issuing acute prescriptions and reconciling medication following discharge from secondary care to eventually carrying out patient facing medication and chronic disease reviews. Concurrently, Zeenat completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy with Independent Prescribing. The focus of her Independent Prescribing qualification was Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

In 2019, Zeenat began working as a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy. She worked at a higher education institution as the Programme Leader for the Clinical Leadership, Education and Research programme, Deputy Programme Leader for the MSc in Clinical Pharmacy and Module Leader for The Practice Certificate in Independent Prescribing. While working in this capacity, Zeenat completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice. More recently, Zeenat has moved to Health Education England and is now a Training Programme Facilitator for the Midlands Foundation Pharmacy team.
