Sanna Zaffar

Clinical Educator in Skills for Practice

Sanna Zaffar, is currently on a secondment from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT) at Royal Hampshire County Hospital; taking on the role of Lead Education, Training and Audit Pharmacist. Within her current role, she oversees the training of all pharmacy staff from trainee pharmacists to senior pharmacists (band 5-9). Sanna, also lectures at the University of Reading within the pharmacy practice team delivering clinical and hospital based practice lectures.

Her background in pharmacy include her training year at ICHT and then transitioning to University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) where she was a rotational 6/7 pharmacist. Rotating through intensive care, gastroenterology, neonates, paediatrics, admissions and various other specialities. Whilst at UCLH she completed the UCL clinical diploma in general pharmacy practice, achieving grade: distinction. She is currently undertaking her MSc in Advanced Pharmacy Practice, completing modules in leadership and management, education and training and research and evaluation. Her current clinical interests/ward cover include intensive care and her research interests lie in equitable education, training and health provision specifically within ethnic minority groups.
