Elaine LaCoss

Elaine is a clinical specialist pharmacist practicing in care of the elderly, with a special interest in issues of frailty, Parkinson’s disease, and palliative care. She works in a small district general hospital in the East Midlands, providing medicines optimisation services to frail, elderly patients in an emergency department setting. She also works with the geriatrics and palliative care teams, providing medicines advice, reviewing clinical guidelines, and participating in matters of clinical governance relevant to these areas. In her spare time she enjoys writing, listening to music, and reading a variety of books, particularly fantasy. She shares her life with her archaeologist fiancé, two bengal cats, and a lot of houseplants.
